Prescriptions

Please allow 3 working days turn around for your repeat prescription requests.

Please order your prescriptions in good time. We can process prescription requests, up to two weeks before they are due.

Please allow 3 working days before collecting your prescription. I.e. If a prescription is requested on Thursday, it will be ready for collection on the following Monday.

If there are any issues regarding your prescription - we will endeavour to contact you within 3 working days.

Please note, we can only process prescription requests that are in writing and that include the name of the medication. This is essential to ensure safe prescribing practice.

"cream for my skin" or "my inhaler" is not appropriate and cannot be processed.

Ordering A Repeat Prescription

Please ensure that you order these in good time and not when you are just about to run out. Two working days (three for a pharmacy) are required for a prescription to be made out and signed. (Note that Saturdays and Sundays do not count as normal working days.) Your request can be made in person at the reception desk, by a note put through the door out of office hours, by post or using the online system.

Repeat prescriptions can be collected in person during office hours, can be returned to you if you enclose a stamped self addressed envelope, or can be delivered to one of the local chemists. If you choose the latter service, you will be asked to select a chemist at the time of ordering your prescription.
